Cebit 2010: Debian shows Squeeze and Debian GNU/kFreeBSD

The project around the free Linux distro Debian will make a guest appearance at the Cebit 2010 on the Univention GmbH stand in Hall 2, booth B36.

The brand of corporate Linux offered by Univention, a company situated in the north German city of Bremen, is Debian based and the company and its employees play an active role in the development and maintenance of the free distribution.

The Debians will be holding a preview of the imminent release Debian GNU/Linux 6.0, codenamed Squeeze. The version will for the first time, validate Debian GNU/kFreeBSD for x86 and AMD64 processors as an official component of the release, and consists of a FreeBSD kernel with GNU C library and Userland.

The BSD port will also be the subject of a lecture to be held on Tuesday, March 2, at 17:15 in the Open Source Forum (Hall 2, booth F38).
