I want to print off the dvd disc label to put in my box. You used to have them on your site. Where is it? I can't find the link anywhere.
  • SLAMPP problem?

I have tried SLAMPP on 3 different PCs. Each time it hangs on the screen that asks if you want to use proprietary software.. anyone know a fix?
  • Slampp in a virtualbox

Slampp 2.0 definately does not like being inside a virtual machine. In fact it crashed VirtualBox 3.0, yes I know VMs should not be able to crash the Virtual machine manager, but Slampp managed to do just that.

Other than that, can anyone really see a reason for a 'server' distro to be a Live system? Are they expecting people to boot their home PC into Slampp and never again use it as a client? For a home server to be of use it needs to be either on it's own PC or inside a VM so that it is always available to the clients.

So for that reason I'm afraid the Slampp idea is a none starter as far as I am concerned.

Other than that, This month's Linux Magazine is very good, a lot of the more interesting aspects of Linux crept up on you at the same time, which makes fr a good read.
