Android Platform 2.1 for Developers

Jan 13, 2010

Google's latest release, Android 2.1, comes not only with the mobile operating system but also a developer kit.

Depending on whether their provider is offering the update, users should, according to the release notes, be able to download Android 2.1 onto the recently introduced Google cell phone, Nexus One. The new Android 2.1 also has many bug fixes.

Developers can obtain the platform 2.1 download as library and system image. Emulator skins are available, as are example-applications. A detailed list of changes in the Android 2.1 API can be found on the
developer pages.
