ApacheCon Presentations in Free Streaming Archive
The Apache Foundation had its big conference November 2-6 in Portland OR and Linux Pro Magazine was there with its camera. To celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the foundation, some highlights from the comprehensive program of talks are available for free in our video archives now.
Included among the talks is the "Hadoop" track, with speakers such as Apache cofounder Brian Behlendorf and developers Owen O'Malley and Tim White. Alan Gates spoke on "Becoming a Pig Developer."
To address the HTTP theme, Thawte coworker Rick Andrews spoke on recent developments in SSL and browsers, and Sander Temme covered "Hardening Enterprise Apache Installations Against Attacks." A further theme was "Lucene," with talks by Isabel Drost on Apache Mahout, Sithu Sudarsan on implementing an info retrieval framework, and Ted Dunning on building intelligent search applications.
The complete program of live streams is on the Linux Pro Magazine webpage. Thanks to the Apache Foundation, Linux Pro Magazine and Collabnet all video streams can be found on the same web site for free.
