KDE 3.5.8 with Bugfixes

Oct 16, 2007

The KDE project has just released version 3.5.8 of the Linux desktop fixing various bugs and enhancing a number of components.

One of the improved components is the KHTML Rendering Engine, which provides improved support for Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) features, a fact that will benefit Konqueror. The KPDF PDF viewer, and the Kolourpaint painting program have far less bugs in the new release, and the PIM applications are far more stable, according to the developers. The changelog lists the changes compared to version 3.5.7.

The successor of stable version 3.5, KDE 4.0 is scheduled for release December 11, after many postponements. The first release candidate should be out October 30.
