OpSource Cloud DR Service Announced

May 25, 2011

OpSource introduces new managed disaster recovery service for the cloud.

OpSource says that the new solution enables businesses to operate a secondary disaster recovery site in the cloud for approximately 70 percent less than the cost of the primary site. OpSource's new DR solution costs US$ 2,500 to set up, plus a monthly fee per server. Installation, monitoring, patching and testing are included.

"With the OpSource Cloud, when organizations turn off or 'stop' a Cloud Server, they are not billed for the CPU or RAM, which is a direct reduction in operating expense," the announcement says.
