The Innovative Atop 1.24

Jan 27, 2010

The system monitor Atop is available as version 1.24 and is complete with a variety of enhancements.

Among these enhancements include the changes to the screen interface. Now it is possible to change the number of columns depending on how much space is available. The user can also use the “o” key to adjust the output line.

In addition, the system-wide configuration file "/etc/atoprc" can be overruled by the user’s personal settings in "~/.atoprc". The reporting tool atopsar has new and more extensive capabilities. Dirty cache size and guest CPU utilization have been added to the system-level counters.

Many further details can be found on the atop homepage. GPL software is available for download as RPM, source RPM, as well as Tarball.
