Beyond all the splash screens, screen savers, and vivid rock-star wallpaper is the simple yet powerful Bash shell.
Many desktop users approach the command line as though armed with a magic spell. They have a command – complete with options – to type or paste to get the desired results, but they are unclear what else might be going on. This approach is understandable; however, if you take the time to understand something of the structure of the command line, you can increase your control over your computing.
