Flowplayer 3.0 Web Video Player
With the release of version 3.0, the development of Flowplayer's free Flash player has reached another milestone.
The software can be used to embed video streams into web servers. One version of GPL licensed Flowplayer also comes with project Branding. The licenses of the commercial variations are valid for one or more domains with limited support included in the price. The Branding software can be adjusted to suit the buyer.
The modular Flowplayer 3.0 contains individual Flash plugins to activate, deactivate, scale and move the player. This is done with the help of object-orientated JavaScript API and Actionscript. The so-called streaming plugins anchor the video content of the web server within the player, which can handle various output formats. The software can be extended with numerous additional plugins. Areas such as playlists and control elements can be modified with further JavaScript plugins.
With the available skins, users can easily adopt an individual look to the player. Source code and ZIP archive containing the Flowplayer (flowplayer-3.0.0.swf) and control elements (flowplayer.controls-3.0.0swf) can be found on the project's website. For less experienced users, a beginners guide is also available.
