Our March issue hits newsstands in February, but you can read our review of Carla Schroder's Linux Networking Cookbook online (pdf). Carla didn't cover VLANs in the book, but she's running a three-part series called VLANs on Linux on her O'Reilly blog. The first two parts are already posted and part 3 runs next week.ROSE Blog: Rikki's Open Source Exchange

Now that I think about it, I suspect I use only 5% of Photoshop's power both at work and home. Her next installment looks at the Krita image creation and editing program.Jan 24, 2008 GMT

The idea for this blog actually started quite a few months ago when our publisher, editor in chief, and I were discussing new projects during a dinner meeting. At the time, I'd noticed an increase in online discussions about women in open source, and I'd been thinking about ways to participate that would also fit well with my role as Managing Editor of Linux Pro Magazine and Linux Magazine International. We agreed that a blog highlighting women in open source – the people, projects, organizations, events, articles, issues, and news – seemed like a great fit. During my 11 years in IT publishing, I've been fortunate to work closely with a nice mix of women and men and have been lucky...Issue 268/2023
