Interview with Joomla user Alice Grevet

ROSE Blog: Rikki's Open Source Exchange
Over on the Joomlablogger site, Kristoffer Sandven announced a new series of interviews with Joomla users. In his first interview, Kristoffer talks to Alice Grevet. Alice says, "I find the community to be very welcoming and full of the most wonderful people. We are stronger when we share what we know and learn from each other."
Alice also talks about how she got involved with the Joomla! community and its community magazine, and about female-involvement in the Joomla! community. She says, "I joined the magazine because of something Amy tweeted. I had read about the magazine, but her encouraging message, and maybe also the fact that she is female, provided the nudge I needed."
What Alice says about being inspired by another woman reminds me of an article I saw yesterday, Women still reluctant to help each other. I'd like to think that women in the free and open source community are enthusiastic about helping other women get involved, and my personal experience tells me this is the case. Has your experience been different? Which women have inspired or motivated you?
If you're interested in getting involved with Joomla!, Alice's interview might help inspire you.
