Novell: More Turnover, but Losses
Novell has published its business figures for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year 2007, and reports losses.
Novell reports an increase in turnover by 10 percent to US$ 245 m for the fourth quarter, which ended October 31, compared to the same period last year. Linux products contributed the lion’s share to turnover gains and were up by 69 percent. Novell earned US$ 23 m with its open platform products, and US$ 22 m with the Linux platform.
Despite increasing turnover, Novell reported a net loss of US$ 17.9 in the last quarter. In the last quarter 2006, Novell reported profits of US$ 19.8 m.
Novell’s total turnover for the fiscal year 2007 was US$ 932 m compared to US$ 919 last year. All told, Novell reports net losses of US$ 44.4 m for 2007 compared with a net profit of US$ 18.6 for 2006.
As reported Novell delayed publication of its quarterly figures and report for the fiscal year 2007 due to queries by the SEC.
