The release was announced at the openSUSE Conference in Prague, Czech Republic.
The first openSUSE 11.2 release candidate is ready for download. RC2 is planned for the end of October with a final version expected November 12.
The openSUSE project has released milestone 3 of its version 11.3 right on schedule. The update to GCC 4.5 has unfortunately caused a few problems.
New release targets Linux professionals.
Debian, Mandriva and Fedora developers call them Sid, Cooker and Rawhide. OpenSUSE calls them Factory and they are ringing the changes for the Factory development.
