Dear Klaus, I installed CentOS 6.2 from the March 2012 issue 136 Linux Magazine DVD on an 8GB USB stick. However, after installing, the USB stick did not boot. But at the end, I solved the problem. My configuration is CentOS 6.2 on an HP EliteBook 8540p laptop (quad CPU, 3GB of RAM) with an 8GB USB stick.
