Photo editing with Darktable 1.6
Conclusions
No commercial manufacturer has managed to put together a better photo editing program than the free Darktable. The software is available for Linux and Mac OS X and brings together numerous effects in what is still a simple interface. It even uses the graphics card to accelerate computations, which has only been common in far more CPU intensive 3D rendering until now. Darktable thus only disappoints one group of users: people who want to sort out everything with just a few mouse clicks.
