Mozilla's systems programming language Rust
Conclusions
Rust is an ambitious system programming language with a fast-growing community. More than 2 million downloads of publicly available Rust packages are evidence of the interest in the language. Besides Cargo, an IDE and an Eclipse plugin are available for Rust developers in the form of SolidOak [11] (Figure 3) or RustDT [12]. If you want to do so, you can also design web applications using the Iron [13] and nickel.rs [14] web application frameworks.

What market share Rust can achieve in the long term is certainly also dependent on its successful use in the Mozilla project. A first stable version of Firefox based on Rust code would be another milestone for the newcomer.
