Faster search filter: ICgrep
Conclusions
Unless you have a need for Unicode-specific features, the conventional grep variants are enough for browsing small data streams or files – not least because these variants includes special offshoots for different applications, such as agrep [9]. However, browsing through large data streams for complex patterns is an entirely different matter: Here, ICgrep is a remarkable new development, and it can be used free of charge.
