Kget with Increased Capability
Working within the context of his Google Summer of Code project, Matthias Fuchs has vastly improved the KDE download manager Kget.
The manager now not only supports downloads from multiple sources, the source can also be changed during the download, when, for example, a faster mirror is required.
The new Kget will also automatically check the program and meta links can bundle multiple files into one download, and similar to torrents, the user is able to choose the parts of the meta link to be downloaded.
Kget is still at the review stage, but it's expected to be included in the KDE trunk soon. The source code can be found at Github.
