The Mozilla Foundation has just released Firefox version 2.0.0.10 which resolves three critical vulnerabilities – but new issues have already reared their ugly heads.

The Mozilla Foundation has departed from its normal release cycle to fix several bugs and the remaining security holes in version 2.0.0.8 of the Firefox web browser.

The update for the Mozilla Firefox browser to version 2.0.0.8 does not remove all of the vulnerabilities disclosed in the changelog, and the update introduces some new bugs.

Several vulnerabilities in Firefox allow remote attacks on 2.x versions: updating to 2.0.0.8 closes the gaps.

Mozilla is working on a Firefox browser for mobile devices and it looks likely that it will run on Symbian, Windows Mobile and Linux.

Following Firefox and Thunderbird, a known URL security bug was closed in the Seamonkey browser suite in August. A similar bug has now been found in Konqueror.

The Mozilla Foundation has just released Version 2.0.0.6 of its Firefox browser. The update fixes two security bugs. And there are new versions of both Thunderbird and Seamonkey.
