Android Market Update Rolls Out
Designed to aid developers in the commercial distribution of their applications, the new Google Android Market client streamlines the browse-to-purchase experience.

Discoverability and merchandising are only two of the improved areas of the Market client; a new carousel on the home and category screens were added as well. From the promoted applications page, users can flip through the carousel and can get to the download page for the applications they want faster and more efficiently. Also added to the app details page is Related content so users can find similar apps. In addition to the those improvements, developers have added both Widget and Live Wallpaper categories, with plans to add more popular games and applications categories.
During the next two weeks, users should begin seeing the Market client updates hit devices using Android versions 1.6 and higher.
