Free Tool for Scrums
Berlin company Agile42 has released version 0.7 of its Agilo for Scrum software that supports teams in their conversion to the Scrum agile development framework.
Agilo for Scrum is based on the Trac open source project that integrates wikis and a bug tracking system in a single Web-based developer kit with the Subversion version control system. The Agilo software, also written in Python, expands the Trac tool with Scrum-specific objects and views.
Agilo for Scrum includes the backlogs (requirements and user stories) for the agile sprint development cycles, bug lists and charts of burndowns, the amount of work remaining per sprint. The company provides a Scrum in a Nutshell guide and a cheat sheet of Scrum terminology.
Version 0.7 was released in tandem with Trac 0.11. Enhancements include requirement prioritization, user stories and automated capacity calculation.
Agilo for Scrum comes under the Apache Software License 2.0. The product is available, after registration, as a source tarball or Python egg here. It is also provided for virtual machines and by way of a hosting service.
