Red Hat Releases JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6
Platform 6 offers updated architecture, increased integration, and Java EE 6 support.
Red Hat, Inc. has announced the availability of JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6, which features a new cloud-ready architecture, improved management capabilities, and significantly enhanced usability.
According to the announcement, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6 provides a high-performance, low-footprint, easy-to-manage solution designed to help enterprises build applications and ease into the cloud. JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6 is the run-time engine that drives Java workloads in Red Hat OpenShift, which is Red Hat’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering.
The platform offers an updated architecture that can be deployed in on-site, private, and public clouds. It is based on a modular set of services that can be dynamically allocated. The new version provides increased integration with Maven, Hudson, and JBoss Community projects such as Arquillian and Hibernate, as well as support for Java EE 6 and other popular frameworks and tools.
Additionally, Red Hat has introduced a number of services to help accelerate customer adoption of the new technologies. These include new JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6-specific courses and JBoss Certified Application Administrator Certification, as well as training and service to help customers who are migrating to the solution. JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6 is available for download now. You can learn more by clicking here.
