As you can tell by the number of sub-commands, there is much more to BorgBackup than I have presented here. I have given an overview of basic considerations, plus enough additional material to use BorgBackup with some efficiency. If you want to learn more, I suggest not using the rather verbose man page, but going instead to the online documentation, which is divided into a Quick Start and more advanced instructions.
BorgBackup is just different enough from other archive tools that it takes a while to learn. However, once learned, its structure is quick and efficient. Take the time to understand it, and you might just decide that BorgBackup is your backup utility of choice – even if you are accustomed to a GUI.
