Conclusion
Despite CachyOS's powerful advantages, there are a few drawbacks. Currently, there are no builds for the ARM architecture, so installing CachyOS on a Raspberry Pi is impossible. In addition, the build infrastructure isn't public yet, so users can't check the build progress logs for all packages. According to the official forum, there are plans to make this open source, but there has been no progress so far. Ultimately, users must trust the CachyOS maintainers about the package content: The binary package must be compiled from a public source package specification on GitHub or AUR.
Nevertheless, CachyOS is the top choice for performance-minded Linux enthusiasts and gamers who want more frames per second. You don't need newer hardware to benefit from CachyOS; it also can re-energize and improve old hardware's performance. CachyOS's popularity proves that performance matters. CachyOS is my go-to recommendation when it comes to Linux distributions. I hope you'll give it a try.
