Once again, the LISA organizers rolled out a top-notch event. This year, LISA was held at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center, which is one funky, unique facility (in a good way). Although I didn't do a head count, I saw a nice mix of both men and women at LISA '08. On her blog, Allison Randall discusses the updated Linux Foundation report, written by Amanda McPherson, Brian Proffitt, and Ron Hale-Evans, which estimates that the Linux kernel is currently worth about US$ 1.4 billion, and Fedora 9 is worth more than $10 billion.
