Back from SCALE 7x: Notes on a Keynote

I just got back to Kansas from my trip to SCALE 7x. Once again, the SCALE organizers and volunteers put on a great event. If you're considering rolling out your own event, you really need to take notes from the SCALE crew.

(Side note: I discovered that when Californian's say "It's cold out," they mean that the temperature is in the mid-60s. In Kansas, it's not really cold until it's in the single digits. The 60s seems downright balmy.)

Although I'd love to write my own event report this very second, I'm afraid I'd be slurring my words in text because I really am THAT TIRED. So, I'll start with a link to Emma Jane Hogbin's blog post, where she shares my feelings of fatigue but was still able to write a nice summary of Joe "Zonker" Brockmeier's keynote. Check back later this week for more SCALE reports and photos.

In addition to being the SCALE 7x Sunday morning keynote speaker, Zonker has the bragging rights of being this year's Weakest Geek. I always knew he had it in him! A great big CONGRATS! to Zonker, followed by an even larger

Happy Birthday!
