GoAhead Joins Linux Foundation

GoAhead, a provider of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions for network equipment manufacturers is now a member of the Linux Foundation.

GoAhead provides an application-ready software platform for embedded applications that is being used in over 65,000 deployments by customers such as Alcatel-Lucent, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Northrop Grumman and more.

“Linux is powering the next-generation of telecommunications infrastructure because of its unique ability to provide high-performance capabilities for network equipment and devices,” said Amanda McPherson, vice president of marketing and developer programs at The Linux Foundation in the membership announcement. “We’re excited to have GoAhead’s participation as Linux takes center stage in this market.”
