CeBIT Open Source Forum

For the very first time, CeBIT will be devoting an entire section to the topic of open source. The event will be supported by international industry associations and representative bodies such as the Linux Foundation, the LiMo Foundation, Linux International, the Free Software Foundation Europe and the LIVE Linux Association. The Open Source Forum will serve as the lively hub of the exhibition, which in turn features a diverse range of open source companies and independent projects.

The forum is organized by Linux New Media and its specialist publications, including Linux Magazin, Linux Pro Magazine, Linux User and Linux Community. Throughout CeBIT, it will feature a selection of top-class presentations focusing on a range of topics relating to open source and Linux - "Open Source in Data Centers", "Security", "Mobility", "Web", "Multimedia" and "Distributions and Desktop". Each day, experts and VIPs from the Linux and open source community will deliver fascinating keynote speeches, opening up new insights and background information and taking a look at what the future holds. The presentations will be streamed live on the Internet and will also be available later in the archive of Linux Magazin Online.
