Certificates: Novell and LPI Working Together

Feb 12, 2010

Novell and the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) are moving in one direction in certificate solutions: Anyone holding a LPIC certificate will now automatically qualify for the CLA.

In a statement announcing a new partnership LPI states that, "...holders of LPIC certifications are now eligible to apply for and receive the Novell Certified Linux Administrator (CLA) certification at no additional cost or exams."

In turn, Novell's Training and Services Division will incorporate LPIC learning goals into its CLA schooling materials.

Both partners have gathered together information regarding a possible double-certification. LPI at this website. Novell at this address.

According to the announcement, the agreement is valid world wide, with the exception of Japan. Candidates can apply via web application form.
