QMapShack visualizes maps and tracks

Conclusions

QMapShack is an interesting and powerful program for outdoor and mapping enthusiasts. Small things like the storage and printing functions, which do not work well in all situations, cloud the overall impression but are basically only additional features at the end of the day. The display features for online and offline maps work very well, as do the functions for creating and managing tracks and routes. After a training phase, QMapShack is very useful for planning and documenting tours. The integration of Routino also works surprisingly well, even though the routing function requires a large amount of additional storage space.

  • Welcome

RadioShack has dug itself into serious financial straits through the years by failing to stay with the times. When I was a kid, “Radio Shack” was a cool little store with lots of strange gadgets for electronics hobbyists and do-it-yourself home repair types. Any business that intentionally calls itself a “shack” is clearly trying to evoke an image, and the Radio Shack image was a preserve for the home inventor, laboring in a backyard shop, contentedly stringing wires and soldering connections amid piles of loose parts and circuit diagrams.
