I stumbled across Carla Schroder's review of image editing tools, Fie on Photoshop: Image Editing in Linux. Carla's first installment explains how Photoshop tackles the complexity of color (CMYK, RGB, and Pantone) for commercial printing, but she says it may be more than you actually need. Now that I think about it, I suspect I use only 5% of Photoshop's power both at work and home. Her next installment looks at the Krita image creation and editing program.
