The Open Source Forum at CeBIT 2011 is seeking speakers. Potential speakers have until January 9, 2011 to submit their topic papers for consideration.
The Open Source Forum for the CeBIT 2011 Conference, scheduled for March 1-5, 2011 in Hannover, Germany, has issued the Call for Papers. The deadline for speaker submissions is January 9, 2011.
The call for papers is open to open source individual users, organizations, and developers. Open Source Forum is especially targeting presentation topics about cloud computing, virtualization, security, mobile open source solutions, and desktop. However, presentations from individuals who can talk about their practical experience in deploying free software in companies and organizations, as well as, speakers who can demonstrate new open source or free software technologies, specialties, or new innovative products are sought after as well. Also encouraged to submit presentation proposals are speakers who can discuss new open source projects.
Speakers who are interested in participating should sent their proposals to events [at] linuxnewmedia [dot] com. Proposal submission should include subject title, speaker information/bio, and a short presentation content description. User presentations, including questions and answer portion, can be a maximum of 40 minutes. Free software project presentations can be a maximum of 20 minutes. The Open Source Forum program will be broadcast via live stream by Linux Magazine Online and archives of the program will be made available after the event.
Presentations will take place in the Open Source Software area of Hall 2 at CeBIT and will not only be part of the Open Source Forum program, but will be included in the Open Source Project Lounge as well. In the Open Source Project Lounge, free software projects have the opportunity to present their work/projects to the general CeBIT 2011 public without a booth charge.
