Debian Project Wants User Art for "Squeeze" OS

As the Debian Project readies Debian 6.0, (codename: Squeeze), project leader Stefano Zacchiroli has implemented a contest to decide the next desktop and boot theme. The aptly named Squeeze Artwork Contest, allows artists to submit their designs to the Debian wiki where members of the community can view the theme and access the SVN.
Two submissions have been made. The first theme, Nightly , features a starry night sky with the trademark Debian swirl in the center of the screen. The second proposal, Space Fun, features an illustration of the planet Saturn, with the Debian swirl made of stars and the trail of a Saturn rocket. The tagline, "The Universal Operating System" is present in the splash.
