Fedora 15 Is Golden
In a mailing list post today, Fedora Program Manager Robyn Bergeron announced that Fedora 15 is ready for release on May 24, 2011.
"At the Fedora 15 Final Go/No-Go meeting today, the Fedora 15 Final Release was declared GOLD and ready for release on May 24, 2011," Bergeron writes.
Before Fedora 15 can be released, it must meet specified criteria. The beta release rolled out in mid-April with the Gnome Shell and Gnome 3 desktop, LibreOffice productivity suite, BoxGrinder, a dynamic firewall, and language updates.
The Fedora 15 Release Wide Readiness meeting will take place this Thursday in IRC.
