Linux New Media Awards 2012: Choose Your Favorite Open Source Presentation Software
The Linux New Media Awards are back! Organized by the publisher of Linux Magazine and Linux Pro Magazine, these awards honor projects, organizations, people, and companies for their outstanding contributions to the Linux/FLOSS community.
Since 2010 when the Readers Choice Award was held the first time, this category has become one of the most popular ones. After LibreOffice won the prize of best Linux Desktop Application in 2011, this year the Award focuses on the best Open Source Presentation Software. Everyone is invited to participate. Submit your vote through our webform here.
The winners in the other categories will be chosen by a jury of about 300 experts from the Linux/FLOSS sector. The editorial staff of Linux New Media's magazines Linux Magazine, ADMIN, and Ubuntu User, as well as open source influencers Mark Shuttleworth, Linus Torvalds, and Alan Cox will cast their votes. Winners from previous years include Debian/GNU Linux, Mozilla, Android and PostgreSQL.
The winners of the Linux New Media Awards 2012 will be announced in Hannover, Germany, in Hall 6 at the CeBIT Open Source event on March 07, 2013, and broadcasted via live streaming.
