Nagios Conference Live on the Internet
October 11 and 12 Linux Magazine Online will be broadcasting the conference on the popular Nagios Open Source monitoring system on the Internet via live streaming.
The NETWAYS Nagios Conference is a platform that offers anyone interested in Nagios the opportunity to build on their knowledge of the free monitoring system, and talk to other Nagios users. Topics range from beginners workshops for Nagios newcomers to talks on Nagios in extremely large environments or on cluster systems which are targeted at more advanced Nagios professionals. Lectures will be held in both German and English to gove Nagios users from non-German speaking countries the ability to participate in a meaningful way this year. Among others, the speakers will be Ethan Galstad, the inventor and author of Nagios, Ton Voon, the main developer of the Nagios plugins and Wolgang Barth, the author of the first Nagios book.
The main track will be transmitted live, and the additional track will be available for viewing in the archive after the event. The archive also automatically gives you access to recorded conference sessions after the event. The streaming solution, which was implemented using Open Source technologies, offers a video window, synchronized presentation slides in high resolution and a chat module. All three modules are presented in a standardized, cross-platform capable user interface for any Web browser.
The complete service package for live streaming and use of the archive for the two day Nagios Live Streaming conference is 149 euros (incl. 19% VAT). For details of the complete program and registration go to http://streaming.linux-magazin.de/en/program.htm.
