New Linux Ultrabook from TUXEDO Computers
TUXEDO Computers has released a new 15" Ultrabook running Linux.
TUXEDO Computers has announced a new second-generation Pulse 15 Linux ultrabook with updated components. The new laptop sports an AMD Ryzen 7 5700U that uses only 15 watts TDP and adopts a single fan/heat pipe cooling system. This new configuration offers the same performance as the first-gen ultrabook but draws considerably less power.
According to TUXEDO Computers, “While AMD officially specifies the 8-core processor with only 10 to 25 watts, TUXEDO pushes the power up to a sustained 35 watts (PL1) to offer demanding users very strong CPU performance with relatively low energy consumption.”
Another change to the Gen2 ultrabook is the use of a WQHD display that features a 2560x1440 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate.
Other specs for the TUXEDO Pulse include a 91 Wh battery (for up to 16 hours of runtime), a lightweight chassis that is only 16.8 mm thin and weighs only 1.5 kg. You’ll find three USB-A ports (two 3.2 Gen2 and one 2.0), a Gigabit RJ45 ethernet port, a Micro SD card reader, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 wireless card, Bluetooth 5.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.0.
The base configuration ships with 8GB of RAM and 250 M.2 SSD NVMe PCIe storage and runs 1.149,00 EUR (approximately $1,168.00 USD). Order your TUXEDO Pulse2 ultrabook now.
