SCaLE 9x Keynote Speakers Announced: Jane Silber and Leigh Honeywell
Jane Silber, CEO of Canonical, the corporate sponsor of the Ubuntu Linux Operating System, set to give one of the two keynotes at the Southern California Linux Expo (SCaLE 9x) in Los Angeles, CA from February 25-27, 2011.
Silber's keynote is titled "Cloud for Human Beings". The foundation of Silber's career comes from her beginnings as a software developer and continues to build on that foundation through her years of business development, strategy, operations and product development experience. As Canonical's Chief Operating Officer she lead the Ubuntu One project and ensured large organizations found Ubuntu "enterprise-ready". Currently Silber is the CEO of Canonical.
Silber joins Leigh Honeywell, co-founder and current president of HackLab TO in Toronto, who will give a keynote on "Hackerspaces and Free Software".
Silber and Honeywell but two of more than 60 speakers at SCaLE 9x. A full list of speakers, registration information, or to learn more information about this event can be found on the SCaLE 9x website.
