SugarCRM 5.5: New Views and Interface
The Californian company SugarCRM has released its open source based CRM software in version 5.5.
Along with mainstay users, the new release takes into account the needs of mobile users: The Mobile Studio Editor provides suitable layouts and views for smaller displays, users can use their own imaginations as to which module they want to see in the mobile client.
A further improvement concerns teams. SugarCRM claims a dynamic capability that enables users to add multiple teams and users on a single project.
Besides all this, developers have created a REST interface that simplifies the connection to other web applications. User passwords and password aging can now be finely adjusted and a new theme framework with many different colors and styles should inspire users.
SugarCRM is under GPLv3 in the community version on Sugarforge ready for download. Professional and Enterprise versions with advanced features and support are also available. An evaluations version can be obtained on demand.
