System76 Retools Thelio Desktop

Mar 24, 2026

The new Thelio Mira has landed with improved performance, repairability, and front-facing ports alongside a high-quality tempered glass facade.

System76, the company behind Pop!_OS and the COSMIC desktop, has released a new version of its popular Thelio desktop designed for high performance under heavy workloads.

This beautiful new desktop computer isn't just form over function, as the new design focuses on clarity, durability, and purpose. Yes, it's one of the most striking desktop PCs you'll find on the market, but it also has plenty of power under the hood. The new Thelio Mira can be configured with up to AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPU (16 Cores, up to 5.7 GHz boost speeds), 192GB DDR5 memory, 28TB of storage, and NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics.

There's also liquid cooling to enable the CPU to maintain peak performance under extended workloads. This new design should help make the system faster and cooler during compute-intensive tasks.

There are also some really important new additions that should help make the Thelio a long-lasting machine. There are quick-access magnetic panels for gaining access to the interior (which is a nice improvement over the previous case), a bottom dust filter for easy cleaning to help maintain airflow, and front-facing ports for easy connectivity.

The Thelio Mira is available in three versions: Custom (starting at $1,699), Premium (starting at $4,299), and Elite (starting at $4,799). You can order your Mira today from the official System76 site.
