The Maker Web Project Helper
The Maker, a simple content management system (CMS) for websites, is available in version 1.0.
Users can work offline with the Python software that creates static HTML pages at publication and transfers them over FTP to the webserver. The program assembles all the files for the project.
The core component to The Maker is an HTML editor with keyboard shortcuts for typical code elements. The software stores repeated and reused code sections that can be entered with simple commands. The Maker also supports templates and works with frameworks such as Django, Rails and Turbogears. Links to HMTL and CSS tutorials and references are built in.
The Maker 1.0 is ready for download from the project page in versions for Windows, Mac OS X and Python source code for Linux. The license is GPLv3.
