Ubuntu 10.04 Second Beta on Servers
An early glimpse at a Lucid Lynx.
The new Ubuntu should be available in three weeks. The current beta version shows some promise of what one might expect from Lucid Lynx.
Canonical has put the second (and expected last) beta version of Ubuntu 10.04 on its servers. The official announcement is pending, but there are likely not many changes since beta 1. Among the most important of them is moving to GNOME 2.30 and Google (again!) being the default search engine.
For the final release due April 29, Canonical wants to provide one more release candidate on April 22 for download. Freeze for the RC is set for April 14.
