VM Admin Helpers: virt-dmesg and virt-uname
Libguestfs developer Richard WM Jones announces new tools for virtual machine admins.
According to Jones, virt-dmesg shows the kernel messages to a running virtualized Linux system, and virt-uname shows the utsname structure. Patches against libvirt are necessary. "I have updated libvirt in Rawhide with all the required patches, and without that version of libvirt it definitely won’t work at all," Jones says.
The new tools available in source tarballs and in a git repository under GPLv2.
