To help Mike Schilli finish watching the movies he's already started, a Go TUI assists him with cross-service home theater scheduling and timekeeping.
If your eyes start to droop while watching a Netflix movie half an hour before it ends, it's time to turn off the TV and carry on viewing the next evening. The thing is, the next day – if you're anything like me – you'll notice another YouTube clip from your favorite series only to be interrupted this time by an appointment. And don't forget the latest episodes of the new 2026 season of King of the Hill – I'm going to add that to my watchlist right away, and I'm sure I'll watch it soon!
Given the endless streaming offerings from a wide choice of platforms, there's virtually no way to keep track of videos you started watching or found interesting. I'm probably not the only viewer to have started a movie that felt strangely familiar after just five minutes – which just goes to prove that there's a need for a movie memory support app, which keeps a log of what I've watched and when.
Netflix, by way of an example, remembers how far a user progressed in a home theater experience based on their profile. But when you visit the website the next day, you have to backtrack to your movie of choice through loud and garish trailers for other movies before you can pick up where you left off the day before. If you're lucky, you may have remembered to save the movie URL and short circuit the arduous process.
