antiX 23.2 Full and Ubuntu MATE 25.04
antiX 23.2 Full
64-bit
Based on Debian Stable, antiX is a lightweight distribution originally based on the now-defunct MEPIS distribution. The version on the download DVD is the full version for modern computers. A version for older computers is available from the project website, as well as base, core, and net images. The About page describes the different ways of burning a rescue CD.
In all versions, antiX has a unique character. Requiring 512 RAM and 7GB of storage, it's lighter than most current distributions. Extensively documented, it features tools for burning Live CDs, a repo manager, and ISO snapshots as an alternative to its regular backups. In addition, it's a distribution that doesn't include systemd or systemd's login tool, elogind. Nor does antiX use Snap or Flatpak packages. The project homepage describes it as "Proudly anti-fascist."
The 23.2 release contains mostly bug fixes and package updates. Users of 23.1 can install 23.2 without a complete install.
