Nominations for 2011 Eclipse Community Awards Now Open
The Eclipse Foundation opened nominations for the 2011 Eclipse Community Awards.
The Eclipse Community Awards will showcase nine winners from three categories. Categories include individual (Top Committer, Contributor and Newcomer Evangelist) project (Most Innovative New Feature or Project and Most Open Project) and technology (Best Application, Developer Tool, Mobile Product, Modeling Product). Nominations for these categories can be made by anyone and self-nomination is allowed. However, to nominate an Eclipse individual, project or technology you must login with a Bugzilla account. Nomination period closes on January 28, 2011.
The Individual and Project Award winners are decided on by community votes. Voting will open on January 31, 2011 and close on February 25, 2011. The Technology Award winners are chosen by a group of judges selected from Eclipse-oriented editors and project leaders. All winners will be announced at EclipseCon 2011. A list of past Eclipse winners is also available.
