OSCON: Community Events Announce 2009 dates
Community events SCALE and LinuxFest Northwest both announced their 2009 dates at OSCON.
The Southern California Linux Expo, better known as SCALE, has announced the dates and location for its 7th annual conference in 2009. SCALE 7x will take place from February 20 - 22, 2009 at the Westin LAX hotel in Los Angeles, California. The program is again expanding to accommodate the continued increase in interest and attendance at the conference. Watch the SCALE website for more details soon: http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale7x/
LinuxFest Northwest, held annually in Bellingham, Washington, will celebrate its 9th anniversary with the 2009 event. The dates of April 25 - 26, 2009 have been confirmed, and Bellingham Technical College will again host the conference and expo. More information will follow soon on the website: http://www.linuxfestnorthwest.org/
Both events have volunteers at OSCON manning booths to promote their offerings. Linux Pro Magazine will, as in the past, support and sponsor these important events, both of which have grown to have an impact outside their original regional focus. If you would like to volunteer, present, or help sponsor either event, please contact the organizers directly.
