TUXEDO Announces Gemini 17

Dec 16, 2025

TUXEDO Computers has released the fourth generation of its Gemini laptop with plenty of updates.

If you're looking for Linux pre-installed on a laptop, you have several options, one of which is TUXEDO Computers. The Germany-based company has been selling Linux hardware for some time, and it shows in the quality of its builds and the state of its in-house distribution, TUXEDO OS.

Recently, TUXEDO announced Gemini 17, a fourth generation laptop. Gemini 17 is a beast of a laptop, complete with a 17" screen, an Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU (with 24 cores, 32 threads, 36MB cache, and up to 5.8GHz clock speed). It can be configured with up to 96GB RAM, up to 8TB PCI Express 4.0 SSD storage, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, complete with 12GB GDDR7 VRAM.

As far as the display is concerned, you'll get a 38.3x21.5cm screen that provides a sharp, detailed rendering of text, photos, movies, and games. The display offers a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels, with a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut to cover around 25 percent more colors than the default sRGB color space, and frame rates of up to 240Hz.

The TUXEDO Gemini 17 is designed to be a portable desktop replacement and includes an internally screwed 73Wh battery for several hours of mobile use.

You get two DisplayPort 2.1 via USB-C ports and an HDMI 2.1 port. You'll also find two USB-A ports for classic peripherals, as well as the obligatory 2-in-1 audio jack and RJ45 LAN port.

You can purchase the Gemini 17 now, starting at EUR1.805,88 (~$2,103) from the official TUXEDO Computers store.
